Seven Digital Services — 7ds.in and the 7DS Tools app
Seven Digital Services is a sole proprietorship based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. We are the data controller for the website at 7ds.in and for the 7DS Tools mobile app.
Questions or requests: contact@7ds.in.
The majority of tools in the app — calculators, converters, text and developer utilities, image compression, resizing, cropping, rotation and format conversion, and building a PDF from your own images — run entirely on your phone. What you type or select never leaves the device, and we never receive it. This is not a promise about how carefully we handle that data; we simply never have it.
A small number of tools cannot work offline and are marked with a cloud icon in the app: the currency converter, gold and silver prices, the SEO checker, the YouTube channel audit, and the six PDF tools — merge, split, rotate, compress, lock and unlock. When you run one, the values you entered — an amount, a web address, a channel name — are sent to our server so it can produce a result.
The PDF tools are the only ones that take a file. Your document is uploaded, processed on our own server, and deleted as soon as the result is ready — both the document you sent and the result we produced. We never read, index or store the contents, and we never log the filename. Nothing about the document is kept after the request finishes.
Lock and unlock need the password you type. It is used in memory to open or secure the document and is never written to disk, never logged and never stored. We cannot recover it, which also means we cannot help if you forget it.
On first launch the app creates an anonymous account so that favourites can be backed up and restored if you reinstall. It is identified by a random identifier generated on your device. It has no name, email address or phone number attached to it unless you choose to sign in.
If you sign in with Google, we additionally store your email address and display name.
| Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous account and device identifier | So favourites survive a reinstall | Until you delete your account |
| Email and name (only if you sign in) | To identify your account across devices | Until you delete your account |
| Favourites and saved results | The feature itself | Until you delete them; free-tier saved results expire after 30 days |
| Which tool was used, when, how long it took, and whether it failed | To fix crashes and decide what to build next | 13 months |
| How long your search was, and whether it found anything — never the words | To find tools people want that we don't have yet | 12 months |
| Purchase records, if you buy a subscription | Legal and tax obligations | As required by Indian tax law |
| A document you send to a PDF tool | To produce the result you asked for | Deleted on completion — not hours, not days |
The app asks for access to your photos only when you choose an image for an image tool, and only at that moment. Nothing is read in the background.
If you fill in a form on our website, we store what you submit so we can reply:
We keep these for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records, and we use them only to reply to you. The free tools on the website work the same way as in the app: most run in your browser and send us nothing.
We use a small number of providers, each for one specific job:
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, India) | Hosting and file storage | Everything described above, stored in India |
| Brevo | Sends our emails | Your email address, when we reply to you |
| Exchange rate and metal price providers | Live rates | The currency pair or metal — never anything about you |
| YouTube Data API | Powers the channel audit | The public channel you asked about |
| Google Firebase | Crash reporting and app analytics | Crash reports, and which tool was opened or run — never what you typed |
| Google Play | App distribution and payments | Purchase details, handled by Google |
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and equivalent laws elsewhere, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. To exercise any of these, email contact@7ds.in.
In the app: Profile → Delete account. This is immediate and removes your account together with everything stored with it. If you have already uninstalled the app, you can request deletion at 7ds.in/account-deletion. Deleted records are fully purged from our systems within 30 days.
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Files are encrypted at rest and are only reachable through short-lived links tied to your own account. Access to production systems is restricted and uses short-lived credentials rather than shared passwords.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will remove it.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will say so in the app. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
