Digital Marketing for Small Businesses in Greater Noida: Where to Start with ₹10,000 a Month
A small budget can work. It just cannot be spread across five channels at once.
With ₹10,000 a month, do two things well instead of five things badly. For most local businesses in Greater Noida that means: fix the free Google Business Profile first, make sure every enquiry lands somewhere you can count it, and only then put money into a small, tightly targeted ad campaign. Everything else can wait.
This guide gives you a 90-day plan with a rupee split, the things worth skipping at this budget, and the one number that tells you whether to continue. It assumes you are a local service or retail business, not a national brand.
What's in this guide
The rule that makes a small budget work
₹10,000 split across Google Ads, Instagram, Facebook, SEO and a video editor is roughly ₹2,000 each. Nothing at ₹2,000 produces enough data to tell you whether it worked, so after three months you have spent ₹30,000 and learned nothing. That is the single most common way small marketing budgets are wasted, and it is not caused by bad channels. It is caused by division.
The alternative is sequencing. Pick the channel closest to someone who already wants what you sell, spend enough on it to get a readable result, and add the next channel only once the first pays for itself.
Closest to the money first. Someone searching "AC repair near me" is further along than someone scrolling Instagram. At a small budget, buy intent before you buy attention.
A 90-day plan with the rupee split
Month 1 — the free foundation (spend: about ₹2,000)
Almost all of month one is your time rather than your money. Complete your Google Business Profile properly: correct category, real hours, service area, twenty genuine photographs, and every field filled. Set up one place where enquiries land and can be counted. Ask ten past customers for a Google review, with a direct link, individually, not as a broadcast.
The ₹2,000 is for whatever you genuinely cannot do yourself, usually photographs. If your profile is already complete, read our guide to why a business does not show on Google Maps before assuming it is working.
Month 2 — buy intent (spend: about ₹10,000)
Now run a small search campaign aimed only at people looking for exactly what you sell, in the area you actually serve. Tight geography. A handful of keywords. One landing page that matches the ad.
At roughly ₹300 a day you will not dominate anything, and that is fine. The goal in month two is not volume, it is learning which search terms produce real enquiries and what each one costs you.
Month 3 — double down or stop (spend: about ₹10,000)
By now you know your cost per enquiry. Three outcomes, three decisions:
- Cost per enquiry is comfortably below what a customer is worth. Increase the budget on the keywords that worked and cut the rest.
- It is close. The problem is usually the landing page or the speed of your follow-up, not the ads. Fix those before spending more.
- It is far off. Stop. Put the money back into reviews, referrals and your profile. Not every business is reachable through paid search, and finding that out for ₹20,000 is a cheap lesson.
| Month | Focus | Typical spend | What success looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Profile, reviews, enquiry tracking | ₹0 – ₹2,000 | Profile complete, 10 new reviews, every enquiry logged |
| 2 | Small, tight search campaign | ₹10,000 | A known cost per enquiry, good or bad |
| 3 | Scale what worked, cut what did not | ₹10,000 | A decision backed by numbers |
What to skip at this budget
- Daily social posting. It takes real time and, for most local service businesses, converts slowly. Post when you have something to show.
- Broad SEO campaigns. Worth doing later. At ₹10,000 a month it competes with budgets many times larger and takes months to show anything.
- Video production. One good phone video of your actual work beats a shoot you cannot repeat.
- Follower growth packages. Bought followers do not buy anything.
- A full website rebuild. If the current site loads and has a working enquiry form, leave it until the marketing proves what the site needs to do.
You may not need paid ads at all. If you already get more enquiries than you can serve and lose them through slow follow-up, more traffic makes things worse. Fix the follow-up first; it costs nothing and raises revenue immediately.
What the platforms actually charge
Two facts worth knowing before you set a budget, both checked against Google's own documentation in November 2026.
There is no minimum spend on Google Ads. You set an average daily budget, and Google estimates the monthly figure as that daily budget multiplied by 30.4. A campaign can spend up to twice the daily budget on an individual day, balanced out over the month, so do not panic at one day's number.
GST applies on top of ad spend. Google's help pages state 18% GST, billed as 9% CGST plus 9% SGST on intra-state invoices or 18% IGST otherwise, and a GSTIN is mandatory for business accounts. A 2% TDS rate on advertising payments to Google India is also documented. In practical terms, a ₹10,000 ad budget is not ₹10,000 off your bank account. Tax rules change, so confirm your own position with your accountant rather than relying on a blog post.
The one number to watch
Cost per enquiry. Total spent divided by the number of genuine enquiries received. Not impressions, not clicks, not reach, not followers.
Then compare it with what a customer is worth to you. If a typical customer brings ₹8,000 of profit over their life with you and two in five enquiries become customers, an enquiry is worth roughly ₹3,200. Paying ₹400 for one is excellent. Paying ₹3,500 is a loss, however good the campaign looks on screen.
Most small businesses cannot answer this because nobody records where enquiries come from. One shared sheet with date, name, and "how did you hear about us" is enough to start, and it is worth more than any dashboard.
The Greater Noida angle
Greater Noida is spread out, and that changes the targeting. A customer in Alpha 2 and a customer in Greater Noida West are a long drive apart, and a campaign set to "Greater Noida" will happily spend your money on people who will never travel to you. Set the radius to the area you will genuinely serve, then widen it only if volume is too low.
The area also has a high proportion of newer residents who have no local word-of-mouth network yet. They search for everything, which is why a complete Google Business Profile and honest reviews do unusually heavy lifting here compared with an established market. Our local SEO guide covers that side in more depth.
Frequently asked questions
Is ₹10,000 a month enough for digital marketing in Greater Noida?
It is enough to do one or two things properly for a local business, and not enough to do everything. Spent on a complete Google Business Profile, a working enquiry path and a small, tightly targeted ad budget, it can produce steady enquiries. Spread across ads, social, SEO and video at once, it usually produces nothing measurable.
Is there a minimum budget for Google Ads in India?
No. Google's budgeting documentation sets no minimum spend. You choose an average daily budget, and monthly spend is estimated as the daily budget times 30.4. A campaign may spend up to twice the daily budget on a given day, balanced across the month. Checked November 2026.
Does GST apply to Google Ads spend in India?
Yes. Google's help pages state 18% GST, as 9% CGST plus 9% SGST intra-state or 18% IGST otherwise, with a GSTIN mandatory for business accounts, plus a documented 2% TDS rate on advertising payments to Google India. Rates change; confirm with your accountant. Checked November 2026.
What should a Greater Noida business do first, SEO or ads?
For a local service business, the free Google Business Profile usually comes first because it reaches people searching nearby and costs nothing but attention. Ads come second because they produce enquiries immediately. Broad SEO is usually third: it takes months and rewards businesses that already have content.
How do I know if my marketing is working?
Count enquiries, not likes. Before spending anything, set up one place where every enquiry lands and record where each came from. Without that you will be judging spend on impressions, which tell you nothing about revenue.
Should I hire an agency or do it myself at this budget?
At ₹10,000 a month in total, most of the budget should reach customers rather than pay fees. Many local businesses run the first three months themselves with guidance, then bring in help once volume justifies it. Be wary of anyone offering full-service marketing for a few thousand rupees a month.
